Take the time to review your current processes and look at your stock loss and stock holding figures, employee efficiency and satisfaction, delivery and return rates and any profit discrepancies. Analysing these figures and stats will help to highlight any issues or areas for improvement. Need some inspiration on how you can work smarter to improve warehouse processes?
Warehouse space can very quickly and easily become disorganised and out of control. Before you know it, your once empty space is overcrowded with unlabelled stock, misplaced items and uncategorised products that makes picking items and managing profits very hard. Start with taking a pencil to paper and sketching out your space. Answers to these questions will slowly allow you to build an organised, coherent, smart warehouse solution.
Start as you mean to go on. In order to get the best start to the day you need to finish the day with an organised space. Set some stock room standards that are followed every evening to ensure the warehouse is closed to a high standard to start the following day off well. We all know how frustrating it is to walk into work to extra tasks on your list that should have been completed the night before.
Having a clear list of tasks that need to be completed on close down, which could include; sweeping the floors, removing rubbish, replacing returned stock and documenting damages, will ensure everyone is on the same page. This does require allocating specific time for closing.

As wedding pros, it’s easy to get stuck in a workflow rut. The thought of changing the way we plan, work, organize and communicate sounds like–what else? I completely get and am often guilty of that mindset. But, the truth is, taking a chunk of time to set a plan for optimizing the way you work is totally worth it in the end Or to go on a run.
This is crucial. Think about a room divider or even something as simple as a rug to designate what space is yours for working. For my online space, I like to use one browser like Safari for all of my personal stuff read: shopping habits and a separate browser like Firefox for all of my work items. That way, when I pull up Firefox to work, my most-visited sites are those that apply to my work and not to, say, that great new pair of boots at Anthropologie.
Keep clutter to a minimum by stacking papers in dedicated bins create a to-do bin, a follow-up bin, a this-week bin, a can-wait bin that you only check monthly, etc. I also recommend keeping an archive cabinet where you archive any wedding files and paperwork as soon as the wedding is complete. Taking time to wrangle your digital files into good working order is also key. With vendor contracts, digital files and images neatly organized, you’ll save time knowing exactly where everything is to reference when you need it.
The beauty of cloud-based event planning tools and collaboration tools like Aisle Planner give you an online workspace that make staying organized a breeze.

Button colors, images, and layouts all need to be updated. It can be quite a challenge to manage a series of creative assets across a design team, especially when you add image managing a series of assets for different projects across that same team. And considering the fact that branding guidelines change, logos get modified, and the corporate color palette can change with the season — keeping your design team up-to-date becomes a nearly impossible task.
Libraries allow you to store, organize, and share creative assets with your design team, and the capabilities go far beyond logo files and photos. Library entries can include color swatches, paragraph and character styles, fonts, layer styles and effects, 3D objects and patterns — well, just about anything you use everyday when designing your projects.
What makes libraries indispensable is the fact that all of the these creative assets are synchronized across all devices and team members. Create something on your mobile device, and your colleagues have it on their desktop computer. Update a library item after a client meeting, and everyone on your team has that new creative.
